Range information

Research Range Pithoragarh undertakes forestry research related conservation projects in areas distributed throughout the Pithoragarh forest division. The headquarter of this range was shifted from Lohaghat to Pithoragarh in 2018. Pithoragarh research range has developed a high-altitude nursery, Lichen park, Burans garden etc. near Munsyari, and an orchid conservation area in Lumti valley, Pithoragarh. Pithoragarh research range is also working on the development of an arboretum of lesser-known tree species of Uttarakhand in Lohathal village of Berinag, Pithoragarh.
