Kalsi Dehradun

This centre explains various environmental aspects and conservation related issues.
This centre includes the representation of rare species of high altitude in Uttarakhand.
This interpretation centre also represent the Bamboo which is used as bulb holders.
It also showcases 10 major Pine cones species of Uttarakhand.
In this centre also represent the Birds photography which was taken by our staff.
In this centre we also represent the Jaunsari tribe cultural information.
The factual information about Badri tulsi is also displayed inside the centre.
A detail description of Ethno medicinal plants of jaunsar region has also represented inside the Centre.
This centre also explains the importance and Use of willow trees.
The Miyawaki plantation methods also represent inside the centre.
The outer side of centre we have used recycled material also to give it alluring look.

Shyampur Kangri, Haridwar

Brief In Points

The Nature interpretation centre of Shyampur was developed in 2020.
This nature centre consist various details about the flora and fauna of Dehradun area.
The centre consist the boards in which we represent the butterfly diversity of the haridwar area.
The rare endangered and threatened plant species of Shivalik area also represents inside the centre.
The on-going project in our range which is also represent through boards inside the centre.
The centre has also mini library in which biodiversity related books are available.
The centre also consist the canvas pictures of the fauna which is found near the Haridwar.

Orchid Interpretation Centre at Khalla Mandal 1km far from HRDI bend at an altitude of 1650m above mean sea level.

This center explains various environmental concepts and conservation issues.

This center includes Soil Museum.

This interpretation centre demonstrates the biodiversity of various forest and Agricultural species.

It also showcases 12 major wild spices of Uttarakhand.

In this centre various medicinal plants are displayed with their uses and useful parts.

In this centre terrarium, wild mushrooms and pictures of various threatened plant species are conserved / displayed.

Kalika

Location: DWARSON NURSERY

It is developed by Forest Research Wings of Uttarakhand.

Main aim of this Interpretation Centre is to Provide information about flora and fauna of Ranikhet through display board.

It display 19 Exotic pine species.

Lumti

Location:- lumti

Brief In Points

Interpretation centre is located inside the orchid conservation area at Lumti .

The centre is located at am altitude of 2510 m. with a GPS Location N29°52’58.96” E80°19’17.91”

There are different type of boards have been kept inside the centre, which shows the information about different species of orchids.

Munsyari

Location:- Patalthor, Munsyari

Brief In Points

Interpretation centre is located inside the lichen garden at Munsayari.

The centre is located at am altitude of 2510 m. with a GPS Location N30°03’33.79” E80°13’37.88”

There are different type of boards have been kept inside the centre, which tell the ecological importance information about the lichen park

Biodiversity Gallery

Location:- Uttarakhand Forest Research Centre, Haldwani

It is state’s first biodiversity gallery.
In this biodiversity gallery 101 lesser known species of flora and fauna of the state are displayed.
Apart from 101 biodiversity icons, there are 8 other sections which show the various aspect of nature.
This gallery also displays abandoned nests of various species like Weaver bird and King cobra.
One section of this gallery displays unique biodiversity products of state e.g. Keedajadi (world’s costliest fungus), Red honey (one of the costliest honey in the world) etc.
