Range information

After the formation of the Uttarakhand state, Silviculture Division, Sal region was created in the year 2000, with this, Research Range, Haldwani came into existence. Research Range Haldwani is situated in Terai-Bhabar region of Nainital district under Silviculturist (Sal region), with its headquarter located at Haldwani at an elevation of about 414 m above mean sea level. This range is situated within the premises of Uttarakhand Forest research Institute, Haldwani where majority of demonstration works of the range are carried out.
